What To Expect When You Visit

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go?

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us or ask a helpful greeter on Sunday morning.

When are the weekend services?

Weekend services are Sundays at 9am and 1045am. New Life Church weekend services are located in the Main Auditorium.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the experience than what you’re wearing. If it makes you feel better, you will see several different clothing styles at any given service. You will see jeans, suits, skirts, shorts, you name it. Try not to worry about what to wear, just come! 🙂

How do I get to New Life Church?

New Life Church is located at 1120 N. Harrison Ave in Pierre, SD. We’re up the hill, towards Wal-Mart. We are easy to find!

Where do my children go?

ShineKids is the perfect place for your children K through 5th grade to go while you attend a weekend experience. Children ages 2-5 are invited to Lifekids, and there is a nursery for any infants through 2. Any of these age-specific programs will be a fun, safe place for your kids to worship, while you worship! For the safety and security of your child, it is important that you, physically, bring them to, and pick them up from, their classroom. We want to ensure your child is safely returned to you! When you come inside the main entrance, there will be greeters who can direct you and your children to the respective classes.

What are the services like?

Well, our goal is FUN! And Impacting! You will experience upbeat, live music and we invite you to participate however you feel comfortable. Sit back and listen or stand and sing with us! We aren’t here to push anything on you, we want coming to church to be an easy, natural next step for you. There will be a time of practical teaching from the Bible. We strive to keep this time creative and engaging. We desire for what you learn on Sunday to have impacted you in a way that you can draw from it all week long. There is also time for relationship building. If you would like, you can come early for donuts and coffee in our cafe area. Or stay after to visit with new friends. New Life is a warm, friendly group of individuals that would love to welcome you and your family!

I have hearing problems. Is there any special assistance?

Yes! For those who are hearing impaired, we have special hearing devices that you can wear that will allow you to control the volume. If you think this would be beneficial to you, pick one up from a greeter or usher.
